El Burrito Box

This is not my first time here. I like this place for its food, since is very small and most of the customers are take out and delivery. However the burritos and the bowls are savoury and well prepared for the price. I also liked the salsa and the tortilla chips they add for free with each order. Well done!

I have been going to this place for like 20 years. My mom, brother and I used to go almost every Saturday after my piano lessons and we were vegetarians. We always got the seitan burrito and it is to die for. It was the only place at the time that did it and the ingredients in the burrito are so good and fresh. The ratios are perfect. This place is so good that when I moved out of NY and went back for a job event, I HAD TO GO BACK AND EAT IT. Of course I ordered the seitan burrito but as I’m no longer vegetarian, I got the carnitas tacos too. Omg are the carnitas also to die for. I wished I could eat here all the time. The only con is that it’s a hole in the wall place and they’re popular so no room to really sit ever unless you camp out. Plus ordering could feel like you’re in a pack of sardines. BUT ITS WORTH IT!!! I have told all my NY friend about this place and will always make the time to stop for a visit when I’m in the NYC area.

I come here almost once a week at this point. I highly recommend the burrito, I typically get the carne asada. The beans are fantastic and you can really taste the grill on the steak. All the ratios are perfect in every bite, it never fails to hit. The quesadillas are also very good. Every order comes with chips and salsa which is amazing. 10/10 I’ll see you guys next week (maybe this week again too, we’ll see).

Great Food and the Best Mexican Food I had as a German in the US. Ambience is okay - staff seems Bored but is worth the food!

Burrito box was good. Had the steak burrito which unfortunately the worst part was the steak which is just to say it was delicious and next time I will get a different meat. Burritos are huge! Come with side of chips and a couple salsas. Delicious. One of the better burritos in Manhattan I’ve had so far!

Best burrito in NYC! They have incredible food, staff, and the price is pretty affordable. When you buy a burrito you also get some nachos and dips with it. Every time I visit NYC I make sure to come at least once, been doing it for a few years and the quality never dropped. Took my family on our last trip and they loved it. Can't recommend it enough!

The very best Mexican food I had in a while. I have had the steak burrito, the chicken, steak, the pork and black bean (soft) tacos as well. Very tasty and well seasoned food. I have been eating here three times when visiting NY. Very recommendable if you want a quick bite for a very reasonable price as well.

Lovely quaint little place to eat. The owners are extremely warm and welcoming. We ordered a grilled chicken and a barbecue chicken burrito. Both were freshly made and were extremely filling. Would definitely recommend New Yorkers to visit.
